Twitte is going to take big step from September 17 in view of US presidential election

Twitter has detailed plans to curb misleading tweets and false claims in the United States ahead of the November 3 presidential election. Twitter will label or remove from September 17 false or misleading information intended to affect public confidence in elections or other civil processes.

This micro-blogging site said in a blog post, our goal is to prevent content that could affect the integrity of elections and other civic processes from misinformed and harmful information. Action will be taken on wrong and misleading information which creates confusion among people regarding law and regulations. It will eliminate controversial claims that have undermined confidence in the process of election rigging, ballot tampering, vote matching and election results.

In line with the current enforcement approach, tweets labeled under this expanded policy will reach fewer people. Reducing the visibility of this tweets means that we will not extend that tweet to our own surfaces. The person following this account can see that tweet and reply.

Twitter said, we will not allow our service to be abused around civic processes, the most important election. People cannot use Twitter's services for the purpose of manipulating or interfering with elections or other civic processes. Efforts to tamper with the integrity of any election will have to face our stringent rules. Our rules will be enforced in fair and prudent ways for all.
